I'm soooo tiiiirred. I'm sitting at my desk right now trying not to lean on my hand because I know I'll doze off immediately. I always get more than 8 hours of sleep, so I don't get why I'm tired all the time. How do y'all stay awake without coffee? It heightens my anxiety, so I want to avoid coffee.

I was always feeling exhausted and tired throughout the day despite getting 8+ hours of sleep and had doctors say it was mental health related. Finally got psychiatrist to listen and even though I was borderline on paper for sleep apnea it turns out I had it and I was so tired because of the lack of oxygen during sleep. Sleep and mental health go hand in hand as many medications cross between them so I would bring it up to your doctor that despite getting a full night of rest you aren't actually rested

Fighting anxiety is a feat of itself, it makes sense you're tired! Getting moving, getting vitamin D, and giving yourself the occasional nap is good!

I use a function for breathing on my galaxy watch that vibrates every few seconds or so for a few minutes and that keeps me awake. Not sure what I'd do without it lately! I've been told magnesium supplements were supposed to help though. Haven't noticed a difference, but it must help some people.

A B12 deficiency can also affect energy. I have a gene mutation where I can’t convert my b12 to the form that our body uses for energy though so I take methyl folate to help my energy. It’s a MTHFR gene mutation.

I’ve found some supplements do seem to help a good multivitamin and I like ginko as well but it’s personal preference and some don’t believe in that sort of thing. I had a headache for the first week or so when I started ginko but then it subsided and I honestly think it’s helped me.

@Man_Of_The_Forest thanks for the advice! I definitely think vitamins would help

I get the same way and idk why my family said it could be a vitamin d deficiency

@Eve85jane I got diagnosed with a vitamin d deficiency not too long ago, what a coincidence! I put my hair back and that helped a bit, it's like a blanket 💤

@OkeyDokey the sun helps but I can be riding to town or setting doning anything and get so sleepy I can't keep my eyes open I go outside and get some sun and sometimes that helps
