has anyone developed tremors as a result of anxiety? I've been experiencing more tremors in my hands recently. šŸ„“

Shaking can actually be the body's way of trying to expel the anxious energy/restore equilibrium. It can feel distressing but your body is actually trying to help your nervous system settle. (Assuming it's not a side effect of meds or other medical issue). There are ways to intentionally activate the shaking/tremoring to help release stored tension/anxiety/trauma.

I was thinking that also. Fairly certain my aunt has that.

Do other people in your family shake? It could be a completely harmless genetic movement disorder called Essential Tremor. 5% of the world has it!

I had those at my stressful job and during a traumatic event. Usually in the hands of course.

I get nervous shakes whenever Iā€™m super anxious, but I also have epilepsy that just makes my hands tremble sometimes when Iā€™m close to my next dose. Itā€™s a fun game of ā€œam I super anxious or are my seizures coming on?ā€ šŸ«

Not sure if itā€™s the same thing, but I shake when I get nervous. My hands mostly, but my limbs too.

Yes. I call mine the shakes. Iā€™ve had horrible tremors as a side effect of psych meds. May I ask what you take?

@Deanka I'm only taking CBD currently.

Yes, I've had so much issues with anxiety tremors. It's just your body reacting to the sense of 'danger'. Have them checked out too
