This is regarding a very recently diagnosed Rheumatoid Arthritis. Have been having difficulty moving around, bending fingers. Gets worse in an air conditioned environment. Was looking for your experience and guidance on how you cope with it. Thanks in advance.

A heating pad at work can help in an office environment. It's discrete and can help your hands. You'll learn what works best for you but sometimes it's heat sometimes its ice.

yes it is very scary. My neuropathy is about 64 and 68%. Specialists says no fear of losing legs😳 and they don't treat medically till below 50% loss. Guess we don't do "preventive medicine" anymore but wait till condition so bad they're forced into action. I honestly try not to deal with drs. Get more info from this group than I ever got from drs.🥰🤪

I was diagnosed about 17 yrs ago and over time my joints have hard bumps in them and the fingers themselves now curve. Will not do meds as years using pharma drugs have me neuropathy, which is no fun either. I've tried marijuana creams with some relief. I hear cbd but have not personally tried but think I might. For me, heat is better than cold and use a heating pad or very warm water. Also an arthritis glove/s may bring relief...mine usually do. Good luck

@uno : Thank you so much! I do hope you feel better with time. Sounds like so much to have to deal with. :/

@Riyaa thank you. Have close supportive family, excellent positive attitude, (although moments of pain decreases that at times), and a very strong personal relationship with the Lord. He shows me time after time I'm not going anywhere till He's ready for me. I'm blessed... My conditions I've been battling for years, yet I'm functional body and mind, very minimum pain and discomfort, take no meds, walk daily, and enjoy my 8 grandchildren. Life is good🥰

@uno have those hard bumps in my hands and feet. I am just starting with neuropathy. The tips of my fingers get numb ... I get so pissed because I can't puck anything up easily 😥 my fingers have been starting to curve.

@Lifesaver350 prayers and healing for you. Yes I get frustrated as well with fingers. Curving, bumps, stiffness, all frustrating. Things people take for granted are hard for us: buttons, zippers, opening jars, ugh, and so much more. Gotta stay positive and keep working those hands 🥰. I have trouble with hands but neuropathy bad in legs, which go numb, scary. Always interesting to me that with RA told to walk/movement, yet when your feet go numb, that's difficult. Add bone loss and fear of falling... Lord have mercy on us 🥰. Prayers
