I have a super hard time with my lips, so I’ve started using a sugar scrub to exfoliate away the dead or chapped skin that triggers me to pull at and a deep conditioning lip ointment that I put on every night before bed. That and I keep like 10 chapsticks all over places I frequent like my locker at work, my bag, my car, my nightstand, the living room, the office, the kitchen, etc. Burt’s Bees has an incredible overnight lip mask I use

@TheBigSpook I don’t even realize I’m doing it half the time it’s just like a bad habit. It’s even worse when I have anxiety

@TheBigSpook I do this too but still pick 😩😩😩
I know there are different reasons why people pick. If it’s the picking part that you want, try slowly picking away at a sponge or an orange peel. That’s helped me in the past :)
I never considered picking my lips to be aligning my OCD and Anxiety. I pick my lips so badly ever since I’m little and I can’t stop. Would love tips too!

I’ve always had really bad picking problems specifically my cuticles. One of the things that has really helped me is being conscious of it and then as soon as I notice I stop. If I’m really anxious and I feel as though I can’t, I quickly find something else I can mess with :) good luck !!
i have the same issue but with picking my nails and scalp. one thing that helped me a little bit were fidget rings. not perfect but it can help distract you from the picking.
