Sorry for the word vomit. I realized I'm much wordier than most people, and it gets worse when I'm stressed out, like right now. I want to cry right now. I've been having problems with my medication, and I was supposed to see the doctor that manages my prescriptions today. My appointment was for 9:30, and the robo call reminder that they sent to me a couple of days ago said 9:30 as well. I got in there today to find out that they rescheduled my appointment without telling me, and changed it for 8:20. I showed the receptionist the card that said 9:30, and she just got mean to me and said that it's my responsibility to make sure that I show up on time, even if my appointment is rescheduled. And then lectured me on how I should call the day before my appointment just to confirm the correct time, and that just because I have ADHD isn't an excuse to not do stuff like that. So long story short, I'm sitting in my car and trying not to cry. I'm just going to call and leave a message for him about how the dose seems to be too high on my medicine and ask if I can get it lowered. I honestly don't think it was him who rescheduled my appointment. Because as I was leaving, another lady walked in and thanked the receptionist for fitting her in on such short notice yesterday. And then said that she was there to see my doctor at 9:30. And the same receptionist that was rude to me was super nice to this lady and told her it was no problem and that they just had an opening at that time. I think it was that receptionist that rescheduled my appointment yesterday. Maybe I'm reading too much into the situation, but it's still frustrating nonetheless.

hey! first of all im very wordy too especially when stressed ik that’s extremely common w adhd so don’t feel bad! 2nd of all i’m sorry the receptionist was so mean, it sounds like she was making a big deal out of nothing (a genuinely normal human mistake even if they did tell u abt the time change, and it doesn’t sound like they did) additionally, before i figured out the right med (i’m on adderall rn but had horrible issues w cotempla concerta and maybe one other) my emotions were a WRECK like i was having full panic attacks over the smallest things/anxious over every situation all of this is to say it was very weird for her to freak out on u like that and good luck!
