my "bestfriend" just up and abandoned me out of nowhere, just straight up blocked me on everything without saying anything knowing I have abandonment issues. I ended up relapsing and my intrusive thoughts from OCD and the stereotypes around BPD make me super focused on trying way too hard to not be manipulative so I feel extremely bad about it even though there's absolutely no way they could find out. any advice or shared experiences?

i definitely understand this and understand the intrusive thoughts down to a T, i have had my fair share of self harming and then accidentally using it to be manipulative, i think what you're thinking rn is more of an inner problem, they don't know you relapsed therefore there's no way it could be perceived as manipulative, you felt horrible and alone and had a bunch of thoughts and ideas running through your body and that's how you ended up dealing with it because you felt like you deserved it, you're not at fault for hurting yourself and they aren't either it's just something that happened, as much as people aren't obligated to give reasoning to why they do things there are instances where it should be obligated and this is one of them just please don't blame yourself for this it will be okay and you can text me if you want, i'm 20 nonbinary and have lots of experience with all of this
