I can't take Prozac. It makes me feel very nauseated. I have been on Cymbalta for many years - like since it was newly marketed - which is the only anti-depressant I can tolerate without tons of side effects. I've been on most out there, but the side effects were worse than the symptoms.

A family member of mine takes it for anxiety and depression but she has to also take something else in addition.

Also if you’re finding yourself sensitive to medicines try asking if you could increase in smaller amounts or split your dosage and take half in the morning and half at night. That helped me a lot too

I have a really bad panic disorder too and I tried a bunch of ssris and none seemed to work for me so I tried cymbalta at the recommendation of my therapist and it’s been so much better. Cymbalta is an SNRI which is a little different than an SSRI so If those aren’t working for you I suggest asking about SNRIs

I was on Prozac for 7 years until it stopped working for me.

@Nina716 thanks for the response. Was it hard to start? How much did it help?
