a question for female/female presenting people who self harm and struggle with mood. does anybody feel like they have been mis-diagnosed with BPD? I have seen this in so many people (especially young girls who have depressive symptoms) as it is the first conclusion the doctors come to without delving into other possibilities? I don't relate at all with the other symptoms of this illness and I really don't want to get incorrect care for my needs as it is just not helping me right now. I am on a waitinv list for an ASD diagnosis assessment and truly believe that this could be the cause of my struggles I've had my ENTIRE life. Anyone else had similar experience?
