Between Sept 3rd and Nov 18 my immediate family & I lost 8 friends & family members. Including my best friend's 29 year old son, my husband's 21 month old niece and one of my brothers, whom I was very close to. This has caused me to be in a pretty severe depression. I tried to start therapy, but luck has not been on my side. I messed up the time on the first appointment. Then she had a family emergency & had to cancel the last appointment. The next appointment is a Telehealth appointment on the 29th. I prefer in-person, but I get what I can get. Right now I could use some encouraging words...
Sweetie we are here for you. Please know there are things we are doing to help people like us going through hardship like this. Perhaps we can meet on zoom or something to just be there for one another. Hang in there.
So sorry for your losses. I have suffered a lot of loss lately as well and I have to say I admire the fact that you have the strength to go out to face to face meetings. I prefer telemed lately just too avoid leaving home and physically being around people. You have strength. Don't let go of that!
sweet pea be careful with isolation. I can only tell y'all what my experience had been. That approach can be helpful, but balance must be enforced. If you isolate to much it can lead to a nasty forward spiral.
Try to take it one day at a time. That many losses in that short of time would severely affect anyone. Try to find a church even if you don't believe. They sometimes have support groups.
💕❤️🙏oh honey, I feel your pain, have been in your shoes and no it is not easy but you can hold tight and get through it. Remember you are loved. Important, and strong... even if you don't feel it right now. I am not God pushing at all, but whatever you believe in... hold on to that as tight as you can. There is light at the tunnel no matter how dim, it will get brighter.
You are on the right path to talk to someone in any way possible. You are scheduled to talk to someone and reaching out here shows just a glimpse of your power inside. Half the battle is asking for any help. I know you don't know me but am proud of you.
Wish I could tell you some of the things suggested to me in my many years of deep depression help given to me from counseling, meetings, and people. But that would be a message 100x longer than this 'mini novel' 😆
Don’t give up on it! I’m DEFINITELY GOING TO BE PRAYING FOR YOU! 🙏🏻Sounds like you’ve been through hell and back multiple times here recently see if you can get a face to face meeting.
Also, don’t let your EMOTIONS GET YOUR GOAT! See what you can come up with at the moment ( DO NOT STUFF THEM!) and see if you can find a way to a little bit of peace. Try journaling, music, prayer, drawing, and try to keep it positive till you can get the meetings.
