I'm curious what people's methods are for combating or dealing with brain fog. I've mostly settled into a routine of taking a break when the brain fog is bad, trying to relax and meditate, but that's not exactly an ideal solution. Anyone had any success with anything?

How’s your iron? My brain fog lets up a lot the higher I get my ferritin.

Last I checked (in January), my iron levels were looking okay. That is a good one to keep an eye on, though- I've had problems with that before. I'll get it checked next time I head into the doctor.

Gatorade helps me, both the electrolytes and the sugar check two of the boxes of what's usually causing me brain fog. Also preventing it by wearing compression. I laugh at myself in my early twenties shopping for compression socks alongside the old ladies. Those women have great recommendations though 😂. I have ones that pull over my knees which help me get through my whole day without much blood pooling in my feet even if it's hot out. If it's a really hot day I'll slam the fluids. Also electrolyte tablets can help too. I found a chewable one that I like. If I see stars when I stand up a chewable electrolyte tablet helps within 5 minutes. I keep a bottle in my car in case I feel woozy when I need to drive somewhere.

Chewable electrolytes?? I hadn't heard of those before, I'll be looking into that immediately. I have had some general help with electrolyte mixes, so I bet I'd respond to that. And I've never thought to look into compression socks, but that makes sense. If your body isn't keeping your blood pressure proper, just try doing it from the outside, right? Thanks, I'll have to give that a try.
