Explaining BPD behavior without excuses

What has helped most with my partner, friends, family and I is being knowledgeable about our triggers and subsequent “episodes” That way all parties have an idea of where the other may be at in that moment and can give space or comfort to the other.

i would start by explaining symptoms that bpd can cause and say sometimes that is why i do this behavior. and let them know that you just want them to understand how your brain works, nothing wrong with that :)
