@becka yes a rheumatologist not a neurologist. Did they say why neurologist? For the numbness? I prayed for guidance and have had to do alot of my own research. Drs want to go by the number on the lab result and not how you are being affected. A good friend of mine has sarcoidosis which is another form of an autoimmune disease it took her so many years to get the proper treatment and now her lungs are scared. You have to watch out for your triggers and try to eliminate those things. Your body thinks that it's sick but it's not so it's attacking itself. I try to use reliable sources to help me along the way. I have felt better in these last 3 weeks since I got diagnosed than I have in 3 years.

@NikkiG they refer to neurologist to do their testing first. Since my symptoms are progressing they said seeing the rheumatologist would be the best thing for me

Have any of you been referred to a neurologist or rheumatologist

@Becka I'm seeing both and I wasn't sure at first why I'm seeing the rheumatologist until I started experiencing some muscle cramps.

@Becka I went to a rheumatologist. They did basic tests then said everything was normal but didn’t think they should do further testing. So still no answers. Basically all they want me to do now is tell my primary to watch my thyroid even though it was normal.

@Ley. Yes my low back pain can be debilitating. I couldn't walk for 10 day November my low back pain was so bad. Naproxen Sodium helps sometimes (aleve or prescription kind) acupuncture also helped me. But the biggest thing I try to keep my information down with kombucha. Now started with a lemon ginger and fresh turmeric that I make myself. Hope that's helpful. I feel better than I have in years. Not foggy and fatigue. Cutting out meat was the big difference with my swelling.

@NikkiG I started out with low back pain and nothing showed why...not x-rays or mri's...doctors just thought I was making it up...since then my legs burn and ache,my depression and anxiety has gotten worse. Last night my joints were hurting so bad...it felt like when your body is cold and you start shivering all over...I dont know what else to do

I’m the same with constant pain in my lower body and joints to the point I want to cut it off. My Ana was positive but they claim everything else is normal so I’m still undiagnosed.

I go thru the same thing every day. That is how I was diagnosed by joint pain. And then positive ana blood test
