I've been having family conflicts over how my symptoms are causing me to behave. I feel like no one around me understands how debilitating schizophrenia is. How do I go about explaining to my family that I'm not just being lazy? I feel like I'm going crazy. I know it can be annoying dealing with me,, but I feel like my family doesn't really care enough to consider what I'm going through as well. I'm really trying my best but they don't see it. They don't hear the voices or deal with the disabling avolition and paranoia. What should I do?

Try to have a heart to heart, I totally feel like I'm in the same boat. My family has no idea what I go through on a daily basis but they also don't ask either ya know. I wish they would be more considerate

A: One approach to help your family understand your situation is to openly communicate with them about your schizophrenia, its symptoms, and how it affects your daily life. You can also provide them with educational resources on the condition to increase their understanding. It's important to express your feelings and let them know that you're doing your best to cope with the challenges. Remember, some people may never fully understand, but open communication and education can help bridge the gap.
