So I think I wanna start dating again but I'm afraid because my different conditions leave me in the bed most days. And i don't know how I would bring up my illnesses. It seems too awkward to put on a dating profile but also awkward to bring up on a first date. Any advice on dating with chronic conditions?

Honesty is always my choice. Like Jesskath said, it doesn’t define us, but it’s a huge part of us and the person that will be part of our life needs to understand it too. I sometimes see that as a good way to filter out those who don’t suit me. Be yourself and the right person will arrive 🙂

If you find someone that is understanding than they are a keeper! You shouldn’t have to be alone just because you have a chronic illness.

Hey i gotchu! When i first got diagnosed with fibro a few years ago, i felt really awkward to have to explain to boys that i fell asleep for hours and missed their call or couldn’t text them back because my fingers and hands hurt too much to type. I eventually just would tell them after i felt comfortable and i would see if they were understanding or not. I don’t think you need to put it in your bio, but if you want to then do it! My bf now is super in tuned to when I’m having a bad fibro day, he comes over and will massage my hands or back or just apply pressure when i need it. It’s been so nice and it’s important that whoever you end up with gets that this isn’t your fault or a choice and will love you and your sore body
