So disclaimer I have not been officially diagnosed with narcolepsy yet. however there doctors I've seen do believe that I have it and I'm waiting to do the sleep study in 2 months. my question is if anyone has any useful tips on how to handle this from your day to day life. it has completely put my life on pause I have 5-7 episodes a day and am barely awake long enough to get anything done between them and my depression has skyrocketed since they start up, any advice would be great thank you.

I hope things get better for you I understand that pain of not being able to do things you love because of how much this eats up time but I hope you find a medicine to help you soon and hopefully you can graduate school before you know it

I recently got diagnosed and it definitely is tough. It’s hard for me to stay awake during normal hours since I sleep for so long and if I stay in one spot I will fall asleep. I haven’t been able to go to school or do the things I love because of it. I’m failing all my classes because I can’t wake up or stay awake to go- if you do get diagnosed there is hope. They can put you on stimulants to help keep you awake and there’s a new medication that claims to stop cataplexy. You’re not alone and I hope the doctors find an answer for you during the sleep study <3
