my shutdowns luckily only usually last a few minutes, but it helps me during them to not try to force myself out of them. if i try to talk before im ready it stresses me out and keeps me shut down, but when i can just allow myself to feel my emotions and then relax it usually eases up faster

@SunInAugust it depends entirely on the situation, but I've had shutdowns that lasted hours, and I've had some that lasted maybe 30 minutes
