I'm having a really bad shut down. I feel like my body is stuck in a paralysis. I can't move or talk. what do I do?

      When that happens to me, I use my phone to communicate with the people around me, and wait it out. It's scary, but it won't last forever. Just focus on staying calm. You'll be okay 💜

      my shutdowns luckily only usually last a few minutes, but it helps me during them to not try to force myself out of them. if i try to talk before im ready it stresses me out and keeps me shut down, but when i can just allow myself to feel my emotions and then relax it usually eases up faster

          @SunInAugust it depends entirely on the situation, but I've had shutdowns that lasted hours, and I've had some that lasted maybe 30 minutes
