I have to use a cane because of my instability. You could have drop leg or a major nerve impingement. Have they put you in an MRI? It's very important to get imaging and if you find out you are struggling with displacement or drop leg or anything in that neighborhood, you would benefit from physical therapy and possibly injections.

Sounds like you need neuromuscular genetic testing...I had it. I have limb girdle muscular dystrophy. Now I need a surgery for the biopsy. I spit in a tube, fed ex it, comes in a easy to use kit, and got the results via the web. I also have RA and Lupus. Lucky me.....

I had lower back surgery and they put hardware in there. Before surgery I had bone fragments cut my sciatic nerves and it gave me drop foot on both sides. I got fitted for braces and the braces help me walk. I'm not sure what is happening with you but I hope this helps a bit.
