lol. I live in IL but close to St Louis, MO. It was still 80-100 degrees in October here. And every year we have a few days of January where it's 70 degrees.

Sounds like seasonal affective disorder…. I get it real bad too. I live in a very cold depressing area. I have my psych up my antidepressant during the fall/winter to help balance it out
@DitsyDiabetic Can I ask where you live? I'm always looking for cold places to visit. I eventually plan on moving away from where I am because it's summer 8 months out of the year and that's terrible for my mental health.
@SalineTurnip we need to switch where we live lol. I live in Kenosha WI
I get this way on the summertime. It's known as Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD).
Rarely anymore since I've moved South the weather is basically the same year round and no snow. However, the time change and getting dark earlier throws me off and I feel less productive with my time even knowing it's only 5pm. I kind of end the day there which isn't good and makes me feel pretty bad. I do try and push myself and do small things that would normally lighten my mood.
Im pretty sure this is known as seasonal depression. Unfortunately it does affect a lot of people. Its cause is because its winter there is less sunlight, and the day gets darker a lot earlier so theres is less vitamin D for you to get. Research indicates that there is a strong link between vitamin D deficiency and anxiety as well as depression. I too get like this. Personally i try and be outside as much as i can - even if its cold. You can get small amounts of vitamin D from just being outside even if theres no sun. Another advice would be to take some vitamin D supplements for the winter. I make sure i take general multivitamins this time of year. Hope this helps :)
