so I've been on meds for about a year, and still deal with alot of mood swings, though not always as crazy...I don't know how "normal" I'm supposed to feel meds, and frankly to embarrassed at this point to go and ask my doctor?

I have often wondered the same thing about how normal is supposed to feel now that I'm medicated

I am the same way. I am embarrassed to be suffering the way I am

I would never be ashamed of asking your Dr. Theyre the ones who can help you the most. As for "normal" are you pairing meds with therapy? If not you should consider it because they'll teach you coping mechanisms so you can mitigate the swings even more.
