Hello, does anyone else really struggle with working? I've had to quit jobs because of my anxiety and depression we're so bad and was even given an unfit to work note by my doctor at my last job. I also get really anxious and even panic just thinking about having to get a job. I'm also the only one in my household who can physically get a job at the moment so there's that extra pressure of getting a job and providing which just adds to the stress. I just don't know what to do anymore and have to wait weeks just to be able to talk to a doctor about these things just for them to give me another pill that doesn't help.

@ManiacalGhost Maybe you could look into search engine evaluator jobs? That's a work from home position.

I work as a prep cook, when you're training and getting used to things it's a little stressful, an sometimes there's dickhead managers, however, once you get the hang of it it's predictable and you can just kinda get in the zone and jam out to music. Same with being a dishwasher but that's even less stressful, and is the same thing every day. It's not the best work there is, you smell of old food when you get home, but it's a good place to start and get your footing
I do a similar job to SalineTurnip, I work as a part time nanny on Bambino, I charge 22 an hour (I started babysitting when I was 14) I get to accept or decline the requests. I don't have a car because I'm worried about paying insurance but I'll get there. The main thing is I show up on time or early (I used to be late all the time) and I give myself a little high five at the end to congratulate myself on another successful job! Sometimes they are only like 2 hrs long or sometimes 8-12 hrs. If you like kids you should try it!

I stopped working in 2016 because of my anxiety and depression. I have literally quit every job I've had because of anxiety and depression, except one. I started working in 2006. I started working again in 2020 doing cleaning work that was just me and my sister cleaning medical offices after hours. Now I'm doing gig work (delivering food mostly), which has some human interaction but not a lot. So if you have a car, maybe you can try gig work? I do Uber Eats but there's a lot of gig work out there. I like it solely because I can work when I feel up to it. If I'm having a bad day, I can stay in my bed. I don't have a boss to answer to or set hours to work.

@SalineTurnip I've been trying to find working from home jobs but still no luck, plus I don't drive. But sounds like good advice thank you

@ManiacalGhost what kind of jobs do you hate and what do you love/like?
@SalineTurnip this is really good advice!
