Does anyone else feel like they're in a never ending cycle of cleaning the house? It never ends. If I don't clean, it depresses me more and makes me feel useless. But then its not clean and I feel worse than before and then I don't feel well enough to clean. How can I get myself out of this hole I am digging deeper and deeper into

@Hannah_6 sounds like it's more than anxiety here. Being pregnant makes u worry about ur kid, even when u first learn about them. It can really make any worries (especially about places being clean or safe) seem far worse than what they r

Yes... It's been triggering my anxiety hard to have a messy place. It feels like I'm doing dishes at work. Just to have to come home to a messy house. House looks like I barely cleaned too. It's annoying and I smoke flower to help with my anxiety with this problem. I'm a working momma who's also pregnant.

If had that with laundry. There are three adults in my house. I swear we have 10 for how much laundry piles up. I do a few loads thinking hey it'll be almost done. Nope next day just piled up again. It's exhausting and annoying and depressing

I swear this is the worst part, the not functioning and then trying to figure out how to clean after a huge slump, which makes me anxious and avoid it... it's a cycle and I cannot get out of it!

I'm 55, been a parent for almost 40 yrs. I'm pretty much past needing my place to be clean and tidy. My youngest just moved out a few months ago. With all my chronic health issues, it's just not a priority to have a clean home anymore. I'm ok with it and my cats don't care. They like the clutter.

that's pretty much just how houses are. they will never be 100% clean and organized, they are too big, we are too small, and life is too messy. i have learned to not be bothered by it by realizing that everyone else's house is just as messy as mine, and nobody who is visiting is going to think "omg is there a few crumbs on the couch?? despicable. i can no longer be friends with this person"

I can understand this. Most days I can barely get a few dishes done or a load of laundry, and the other days I do nothing. But I've tried to focus on one chore at a time & that's helped me before.

Iā€™m exactly like that! It never ends! I want to just donā€™t care about everyone mess but end up doing it even when Iā€™m not supposed to do it but if I donā€™t do it I fell useless and guilty. I guess we just need to find something to do that we like and keep it busy out of the house!

yes with my room. i have a pretty bad ā€œdepression roomā€ so itā€™s always full of garbage all over the floor, clothes always dirty and thrown everywhere, so itā€™s constant cleaning, and weeks of not cleaning, then cleaning.. it never stops

@Cvprisun I bought myself a whiteboard planner and delegated one or 2 chores for each day of the week. It worked well for awhile but im horrible at keeping up with a routine. Idk if you'd want to try that out, maybe it'll work out better for you than it did for me
