So I asked this person out for a date, she said yes... But then two days later said they didn't want to go on a date and wanted to get to know me more as friends. I understand it and I appreciate it but it just feels like they led me on, am I overthinking this?

I have had this happen and it absolutely feels like they are leading you on. To me, if they can't be honest from the get go about how they feel and they mess you about, they're not worth it. You deserve better!! ❤️

Same happened to me, except the person I asked out then said no. That he needed space for his mental health and that seeing me would damage his mental health. Like Respect you for telling me you need space, but I question how I would have damaged his mental health. Of course I never asked. I just quit talking to him as he requested. Honestly rejection sucks and it sucks hard. But you eventually find someone else or you stay single and move on. I don't think you're over thinking about it. I hope you do find someone though.
@SueLaBear Thanks! That's really helpful! I'm glad you managed to move past him and thank you so much for the words of encouragement :)
