this year I have been getting this debilitating thought about life and I really hope people will help me in challenge it. what's the point in doing anything if you are just going to die some day? I know its very dark, I hoping I can get out of that dark way of thinking.

In large part, we all have two components that contribute to our experience of life… one is our own personal self, our genetics and thoughts and experiences in life and the other is our experience of life in relation to others. What we do impacts the world we live in and what others do impact how we experience life. It’s true we will one day pass and the individual things we did or didn’t do won’t “matter” to the cosmos but they do matter and they do contribute to the world we live in and how we are all experiencing it together. Take that away and life is different. We are symbiotic creatures in that sense. Our ripples may fade in time but they also do affect our shared reality.

I get what you mean, I thought like that all throughout my days of severe depression until in 7th grade I started developing manic depression and I had a major philosophical breakthrough in a manic episode. I realized that the earth is such a tiny part of the universe and we all die and thus nothing matters. But because nothing matters that gives us the opportunity to do whatever the fuck we want. Nothing matters, it can be seen that if nothing matters than I might as well die or do nothing. Or it can be seen as if nothing matters that means I can go and do literally anything I want and ultimately, it will never really matter. You could be a terrorist like Osama Bin Ladin and in the grand scheme of the universe it will not matter. So go do anything! Go piss on a fire hydrant, go learn a new language, go steal someones money and go travel. None of these things matter. (But please dont do any of the illegal activities I just mentioned 💀)

Yeah, sometimes we're just prisoners of the moment. And don't even realize it. If you look back can you remember happy moments and great memories? I'd say yeah. So that just means you have a lot more ahead of you even if in moments you feel like what's the point of anything. I honestly rather just live the pointlessness then not haha. You feel me? Are you still feeling that in this moment? What brings you joy usually?

As a pessimist and frequently infected with nihilistic views, trust me life is definitely worth living. You only get one chance and who need what the future holds for you with happiness. Also I'd suggest trying some Kratom. It turned my life around after going through every entire antidepressant known to man and none worked. So now I'm just on Xanax and kratom and life is beautiful again. And it's not like it gets you high or anything. It's legal, sold at headshops or online, and won't cause you to fail a drug test. Try it out! Don't give up!

I know it's tough to get out of that rut. But I find that thinking, if I'm going to die someday, then today's a good day to try something different. Even if it's something little, like a new food. Or something a little out of the way like a walk. As for challenging it. Some days it's all about putting your best foot forward. Even if it just means getting out of bed and making sure you've eaten and gotten your medication taken. Much love. ❤️❤️

You can be positive in thinking that if you do good for others you can achieve immortality
