I have endometriosis and I was wondering....I was seeing the women's clinic and then went to the obgyn for a second opinion. she told me my pain and symptoms were not related. I disagree but I'm not a doctor. I'm on birth control and I thought that would help with pain but it does not. My question I guess is... I'm in severe pain every month for a few weeks (back pain, painful side cramp when I have to pee) is this endometriosis or my birth control? What can I do? I can barely move in bed my back hurts so bad. Do I need a different pill? should I go to my doctor and for what?

You wouldn't believe how much doctors and regular OBGYNs don't know about endometriosis. I had excision surgery done to remove the endometriosis in my pelvis. I have never felt healthier in my life and all the pain has substantially subsided after surgery. It's absolutely all related- my endometriosis was covering both uterosacral ligaments (connects your cervix to bottom of spine) bladder and my entire pelvic cavity. Everything was incredibly inflamed and painful, even pissing was starting to hurt before my surgery. I had so many doctors tell me that it all couldn't be connected but I can tell you that today I feel healthier than I ever did as a teenager.
@chronicchemist You should try to see someone who specializes in pelvic pain- regular OBGYNs aren't equipped to handle most endo patients in my eyes. Have you also tried to get in with pelvic floor PT? It's really important especially if you also just had a kid and that will give you more control of those muscles in your pelvis
It could be PCOS and endometriosis I had pain like that and was diagnosed with both
This sounds similar to the pain I deal with and I just got diagnosed with Endometriosis.
