Am I invisible? No one wants to talk to me at work, even when I'm standing next to people when they are talking, they don't wanna look at me. Yes, I'm a worker in your country, but I'm a human being. will it kill you to be a bit kinder?

      @MidlightTheNightFury I'm exactly the same... Intimacy is such an issue for me , I'm social and funny! And people may think that we are good friends but damn they are miles away from my inner circle and that's the place no one can ever enter!

      Ik how you feel I’m used to being invisible but the only difference is when someone showed interest in me it was to catch me of guard and betray me except for one who I hold very dear and close to my heart the way I dealt with it was become a loner because then I’m used to my own company and I won’t get hurt by people but it’s not a way to recommend I went like this because of my extreme anxiety and depression and to be honest I only let the people in close to me if I can trust them for me that was the best thing I ever did but I highly don’t recommend on what I had to do try to be visible and make people see you but I’m no professional it’s just an idea but it might not go to plan

      I don't know why people are being like that at your workplace, but it is a common experience. If your boss is good, maybe you can suggest that you have a team meeting with some team building exercises either to learn a little bit about eachother and break down walls, or to figure out where the teamwork is breaking down. Let me know if you need some ideas. Are you just anxious or do you really work with some jerks? The latter is totally possible. I had a girl purposefully spray a frozen drink in my face when I worked at a Tim Hortons once upon a time. I just licked it off and ignored her but it made work feel a lot more like work. I also worked with someone who wasn't washing his hands after handling trash in another restaurant. I didn't say anything to embarrass him but hung a hand washing poster above the sink to make it clear that I thought there was an issue without naming names. He still took it personally, ripped it off the wall and said he knew what he was doing. They also tore down my fundraising poster that I had gotten permission from the owner to hang in the pizza restaurant. If I were the manager, I would have been doing some firing. Some people need therapy a lot more than the ones engaging with others (you) and being self-reflective!

        @betsybetsybetsy2021 God they are such horrible experiences, you are so strong that has tolerated them, you know I don't like team works and here I am an international worker so they see me as inferior! It's really depressing

      Irregardless of ethnicity, race, sexual orientation. People should and need to be nice to people and let go of perceived stereotypes. I bet they would discover you are a nice, genuine and kind person, if they would give you a chance and try to establish a connection with you.

        @Dancemonkey thank you , yes you are right, eventhough they are not eager to establish connection with asian ones. And that's not an illusion!

          @Brucelee they’re racist at your job? Have you started looking into other job opportunities and applying? I know it’s easier said than done but that must be horrible for your mental health (assuming you’re Asian)

      I had to deal with this while working as a pharmacy technician here in the states. Patients always blamed all issues that happened with the pharmacy staff when 90% of it was due to their insurance and their deductible. Had so many pissed off people and I didn't even work there for a year

        @moonlitforest I completely understand, that's awful

      Sometimes a short conversation can make a day so much better but it seems to be an impossible thing for some people. I can relate to your situation. It feels horrible to be invisible...

      I feel you. Sometimes it feels like I’m invisible in my own family as well. Work was so hard yesterday because of the customers. They think we exist just to serve them…

        @IceCup exactly, even your colleagues
