Can a Cardiac Alert Dog Help Me Regain My Independence?

I have a service dog for my POTS and he has given me my independence back for sure. I don’t worry about going out in out alone anymore and having an episode in the store cause I know he will take care of me. The only downside is that it takes a lot of training to get to that point but I’d say it’s been VERY helpful

It could potentially be helpful. Perhaps try purchasing a wheelchair if walking/standing for a long period irritates your Pots. That way you can still go shopping or to events and have somewhere to sit when you feel faint. Bonus to having your own wheelchair is you don't have to worry about the location running out of them in availability and you don't have to do the rent by hour at events such as how they do for concerts or zoos et
