I HAVE FINALLY BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH ADHD!!!! I have known for years that something is up and I finally have the diagnosis of what I've thought it was. I see my doctor again in a few months and we will talk about meds then. I'm so happy someone believes me.

@Skyla1 make it uncomfortable/embarrassing to ignore you. Whoever is checking you in and takes vitals, mention you plan to talk to your doc about ADHD, when making an appointment, bring it up. If you have to, start the conversation with her in a very loud voice and feign hard of hearing to her replies. “Excuse me, could you repeat that!” “I’m sorry, I can’t hear you!” “I may have a head cold, sorry if I’m shouting but I’m going to need you to do so too!” You deserve to be listened to.

Congratulations! I tried to talk to my doctor about it but she never wanted to look into it. Only wanted to focus on what was already diagnosed. So I understand how frustrating it is to not have someone listen.

@Skyla1 keep bringing it up, don’t let her dismiss it. Ask her if you found a lump in your breast but had previously found one that was a benign cyst, she’d prefer to focus on the existing diagnosis?

Congrats. I know how it feels to not be believed and then finally be right about whats going on .. just know that stimulants aren't the "fix all" . Thearpy plus meds, plus changes in your daily life help the greatest. It can be trial and error when finding what works but hang in there. Keep trying and you'll find what can help.

@beautifulDisasterxo a handful of stuff, really bad memory issues, unable to sit still for more than a few minutes, easily distracted, mind always racing with a million different thoughts

Congratulations on your diagnosis. I remember when I was diagnosed it felt like everything finally made sense and I had away to explain to people why I am am the way I am. I hope that now you know about your adhd you can learn how to deal with it and all that jazz. 💕🦎
