Why do I feel so sad even when I’m happy? I’m so tired of putting on the fake face.

the best advice i have ever been given is that two emotions can coexist. you can be sad and happy. it's important not to hyperfixate on one or the other, but allow them to coexist just as you say they do! acknowledging the sad and even letting it to take over at times is reasonable, as long as you do the same for the happy. depression is not linear, and that was the hardest thing for me to face.

Hello ❤️ first, as born69inpain said you are not alone and I know what you are going through. Sometimes it takes time for the medication to become effective and also you are right by talking to your doctor and asking him about increasing the dosages. Once you feel less sad the pain will go away too I can promise you that. It takes a journey to recover from depression so be patient and don’t give up. I also think that therapy is a big part of the recovery along with the meds.. try to find yourself a therapist it was a huge help when I dealt with my depression

I need to talk to my doctor again. I’m on 2 medications for depression an anxiety, but I think my dosages need to go up or something because things are getting worse. As for the pain I can’t get rid of it so I think I’m stuck with it. Thank you for your kind words!!

I completely understand that. Have you talked to your / a doctor about how you are feeling? There is nothing at all to be ashamed of to be depressed or have anxiety or even panic attacks!! Men and Women both are just as likely to have one or more of the issues I just said. If you do have one or more and you haven't figured out on your own how to make it better please please please talk to your doctor they will listen to what you tell them about symptoms and together figure out the best course of action to help you out!! Many years ago my depression was so bad I was on 3 different medications each one helped where the last one left off. I a have been down to one for years now but I know it's worked as well as possible and I need to talk to my doctor about an add on to help. If you are living in physical or even emotional pain it is important to reach out like you did tonight and talk to someone remember you may feel alone but you're not alone!! A life of pain is a very hard life then add to that the anxiety depression fatigue and anyone could spiral into disparity. YOU ARE ❤ AND NOT ALONE IN THIS CONFUSING POSSIBLE PAINFUL JOURNEY PLEASE ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT!!!
