Currently can’t sleep and my anxiety is spiraling out of control. I’ve tried coping skills and they are not helping, I took lorezapam, but the anxiety seems to be winning. Trying to practice thought diffusion as my mind goes in a million directions but it’s not helping. Petting my dog and focusing on my senses has helped a little, but life is definitely overwhelming right now. (I’m currently home alone (except for my dog) and I don’t think that helps either). Can anyone emphasize? Does anyone have advice about catastrophizing while home alone or just in general? What do you do when your PRN medicine isn’t helping?

      i like to watch a show to distract me but sometimes it doesn’t work. i also hate being home alone especially at night.

      I totally understand where you are coming from and I think a lot of us probably have the same problems. I think that picturing things in your head like: ex. Going on a walk, can help start the sleeping process. When you begin to picture things it’s like telling your body you are ready for dreams. (IMO) also very important, never use your phone in bed!
