struggling to wear a mask consistently due to my sensory issues and keep getting overheated- any advice??
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Mask less. It’s not good for your mental health.
i’d love to not get long covid or put my fellow disabled community in danger, thanks 💕
I completely misread your post! I read it as you talking about masking your autism!
I would say if you have to wear a mask you can use a face shield
Don't wear one. 🤷
i care more about protecting the people around me than i do about being uncomfortable 💕
Sometimes pulling my mask away from my face but keeping it on helps but idk how effective that actually is. Other than that I go as long as I can and then run to escape, often leaving my mom in the middle of the grocery store by herself but thankfully she understands 🤦🏼♀️
I also have sensory issues with masks. I would say take breaks if possible or prioritize finding a new one! I also have asthma so breathing is hard in general but having covid/spreading it to somebody is worse than anything, so stay safe!
