Not sure if it’s my anxiety or OCD. But I’ve been paranoid my whole life. I didn’t know it wasn’t normal until I recently had a conversation with some friends. It’s very prevalent at night. My brain makes up faces/noises in the dark and I go into panic mode bc I think someone is breaking in or there are spirits in my room. I always have to put my phone flashlight on or call someone in my room to reassure me. It takes forever for me to sleep. Also my intrusive thoughts get terrible at night. It doesn’t even matter where I’m sleeping I get it every night. I have to check the door every time I’m walking upstairs to make sure it’s locked as well bc I’m convinced someone will break in. I’ve tried numerous over the counter meds. The only thing that remotely seems to help are cbd gummies. Not sure if anyone can relate, just trying to figure out why this has happened my whole life

I have that problem too. Not as intrusive as yours, but quite similar. I try reading a book that I know won't give me anxiety and normally I have a reading light with me. I sleep with my door open and the living room light filters through so I have the space, but can still have that light with me.i find that if I call my mom in. She lays down and stays for a bit so I can rest.
