Just be friendly and nice. Also don't let school work stress you out and make sure you have all of your materials with you at each class. Also listening to music on the way to class makes me happy and stress free

I don't go to college currently but having gum calms me down.

OMG 3M work tunes. They are like mufflers that okay music. Earbuds hurt my ears after a while but I literally sleep in these

Loop earplugs, comfortable clothes and shoes, try to get a single dorm room if you can, and make sure your class schedule is in line with your optimal sleep schedule.

Get ear protection if you struggle with noise sensitivity, college can be loud. If you’re insecure about having large/conspicuous headphones there are a lot of less intrusive options now. I use loop and I love them, they are super comfy and they dampen the noise without making me completely unable to hear

Don’t be afraid to tell your professors - most schools should have a disabilities office got students that can tell them for you and provide you accommodations… if you don’t want to go to that length, just let your professors know what’s up and/or specific ways they can accommodate you. If you have the option, and like doing do, you can always take online classes instead of going on campus! I keep a strict schedule and take a tour of the campus before classes start on my own time to familiarize myself with the place instead of jumping in without a clue. You can always bring sensory objects that make you feel happy or calm so you have something to depend on when you begin to feel overwhelmed. College is NOT like high school - you are almost always allowed to leave whenever you want or need to… if you need to take a break DO SO!!! I like to put on nose canceling headphones and lock myself in the bathroom for a little bit. Just do what works for you and if anyone questions it stick up for yourself! Good luck, hope this helps :)

Be yourself, the most often heard cheesy line but it's especially important in college. Try to not mask and be yourself, it's important to meet people who actually care about the real you in college. And if you have sensory issues, make sure you have silencing headphones or other such things that help you, and remember you can always leave the room or situation if things are too much. You're paying to be there, and you can also choose when to leave there. Don't feel you have to stay for the lecture and overstimulate yourself, you can catch up with your professor later.
