Struggling to Find a Doctor Who Will Treat My EDS

Going to my second gastro doctor today. Why are doctors not willing to treat this disease, it seems like I have to see 2-3 doctors from each specialty to find one that will treat me. They hear EDS and immediately freak out.

I’m right there with you! I had one GI doc who accused me of purposely contaminating my venous stasis ulcer with fecal bacteria, just to be in the hospital. It’s ludicrous! Really!? It’s really tough, but when you finally find one who actually understands EDS, it’s amazing how it changes your quality of life. Stay zebra strong!
