I find people don’t understand Dyspraxia. I get the comments of it “just being like dyslexia but with Motor skills” and trying to explain that it’s more usually gets me comments of being an attention seeker. Does anyone have any good ways of being able to explain what it is without getting those comments?

Firstly, I'm sorry that you're receiving these comments. Unfortunately, some people tend to think that way and honestly, that's their issue. In terms of describing dyspraxia, it is pretty subjective as everyone experiences it differently. But I guess a funny way to describe it would be having your usual controls inverted. Right suddenly becomes left, etc. I like to make a funny comparison to Octo-Dad, a game about an octopus trying to function like a human. Trying to control and balance the character is bloody hard and the frustration is real.

@lune_mermxid I too sometimes feel like octodad when doing things, I was making dinner for my partner the other day and I dropped it on the floor because I can't hold 2 plates at once
