Anyone else with EDS/HSD have issues with temperature regulation? I’m in the middle of a flare up and am running a low grade fever, which I know is more common with systemic illnesses vs connective tissue disorders. I also generally have a lot of issues adjusting to different temperatures. Burning up and sweating at night with the air conditioning on, freezing at work while wearing layers, etc. Anyone else experience anything similar?

I'm 27 and have regular hot flashes. But I also have pcos, so I'm not sure which disorder it is from.

I have night sweats really bad. It is usually only when I'm cold, so it happens all throughout the winter. The doctors' only insight has been that it could be a side effect from medication. It has been happening for years I think, but has gotten much worse the past couple of years. I think my thyroid also effects it, because I was diagnosed with Hashimotos about 2 years ago. Thyroid problems also contribute to temperature dysregulation. If my thyroid is out of balance it gets worse.

Yes, my Raynaud’s is out of hand and I have night sweats if the environment isn’t *just so*

I have a terrible time trying to regulate my body temperature but I also have fibromyalgia and that is a common symptom. It helps when I have big socks and layers. But every time I move around I get hot and sweaty and when I am still I get the chills.

I definitely do. My school has decided that the heater isn’t something they wanna use at a good level, so its always so cold when I am there. I already have hard days and when its cold inside the building i seriously have more trouble. Its quite annoying becayse everyone else is like asking me how I’m so cold. I even keep a jacket, doesnt help much. Its no fun in the summer, when my room is HOT and the AC rarely reaches my room. My mom has a naturally low body temp, and I sometimes am at 99 degrees when I go to the doctors (so I am usually higher)
