You sound like me. I have to force myself to shower once a week just to change my clothes. I have to put the tooth brush in the shower just so ill use it. It's tough but you gotta find a way to make yourself do it once a week at least.

Your hygiene dosent define you as a person, you are so much more than that<3

It's not bad to have poor hygiene. Unless it's a problem affecting your health nobody should care about how you smell and look! I barely take showers and I barely brush my teeth. My teeth actually haven't got bad and my hair isn't even bad? But you should only worry about what makes YOU happy. If anybody tells you how to take care of your self then that's not right. You do you! You rock!❤️

You are NOT a bad person! I haven’t brushed my teeth in maybe a month, and before then maybe a few months. I try to, but it’s hard and doesn’t seem worth it. Depression makes everything hard. That’s not who you are, it’s something you’re going through. Try lowering your goals. I can’t brush my teeth everyday, but maybe I can every couple weeks? I can’t shower everyday, but maybe I can once a week? Figure out what works for you, and don’t let others’ habits make you feel bad about yourself.

I’ve been there. Best advice I can give - anything worth doing is worth doing poorly. Better to rinse out your mouth than not brush at all, better to wipe your face with a wet towel than not shower at all.

You're not a bad person you just need to find a routine that works for you that keeps you comfortable and clean/healthy. What is it exactly that keeps you from getting that stuff done? My messages are open if that's easier

I try to force myself and cant get myself to take care of my body or get dressed into different clothes. What i have found works sometimes is trying to plan to go out somewhere with a friend or family member here n there.

@Bubz I wish I could do that but sadly I can't. My mother doesn't allow me to go places :(

Its not an identity of a bad person, it's a symptom of a struggle. Tbh showering doesn't need to happen as often as people think, but I try to shower once every two weeks or so. Well... I teach swim lessons right now so I'm at least rinsing and washing my hair much more often. But when I'm out of the pool I don't shower that often. Teeth brushing can be a more expensive problem though. And eventually a health issue. I still struggle with it while knowing that. Despite having had multiple major cavities. If you need the motivation to floss, floss once, then smell the residue on the string. It can be foul, and it can be motivation to get that sh*t out of your mouth. Tbh, laundry is really difficult for me. I have a lot of clothes, so I end up putting it off for seasons at a time.

You are not a bad person. If you are anything like me, I have to remind myself, particularly with teeth brushing, that I have enough issues, and not brushing my teeth will only cause more issues for me. Maybe set alarms for yourself or try to do it the same day or two each week, if you are wanting to change things.
