I got the depo shot 3 months ago and I was suppose to get the second shot 5 days ago but didn’t because the shot is really bad for you and am already high risk at not being able to have children and if I do it would be risky. I have a lot of female issues. The shot treats endometriosis and it’s a possibility that I have that. It was great not having a period or being deathly ill because of a period but I really would like to try to have a baby by next year or in the next 2 years. But since coming off the shot I have had the worst cramps and bleeding, I have been nonstop crying because I don’t know what to do, I really want a baby but I can’t stand the pain and the sickness. I’ll be infertile for up to 10-18 months because of the shot but not sure if I could switch to the pill if that would be easier? I’m a mess and just so confused. :(

In all honesty I would consult with an endo specialist. No medication “treats” endometriosis, that’s entirely a myth. It can help manage symptoms though for some. Surgical excision of endometriosis can in some cases increase fertility and it does treat endometriosis. Go to Nancy’s Nook Endometriosis Education on Facebook - they have a lot of good info as well as a file of surgeons that are known to do EXCISION ONLY. They can also guide you on med management post operatively as well as some of them do fertility and/or know someone who can help you with your fertility journey as needed :)

I totally second what the person above siad!! I was on birth control for years and it messed up my hormones and only masked the symptoms while the Endo got worse, if you suspect Endo then definitely check out Nancy’s Nook Endometriosis Education Facebook Group!! Reading the content in that group and looking at their list of doctors with Endo experience made a huge difference for me! I found a good surgeon and had an excision surgery and it had so much other good info! I have other health conditions so I’m still working through it all but I really recommend checking out that Facebook group too!! Also feel free to personal message me if you wanna talk more!
