On April 4, 2021 I bent down to pick up a seltzer water and I started to experience vertigo. After that, I had a migraine headache for 2 weeks. When that headache went away, I started to get these other symptoms that I now call episodes. My right ear will start to lose hearing, I will get a burning rubber smell in my nose, my vision sometimes floods in and out, I get dizzy, I get a tremor in my right hand and sometimes even in my right leg. These episodes come and go during the day. Some days are good and some days are bad. The episodes are especially bad in the morning. My doctors thought it was related to my VP shunt (I have a menginoma). My vp shunt wasn’t draining correctly and I had repair surgery on November 4, 2021. After the surgery the episodes continued and my doctors have determined it is not my VP shunt. I almost fell down in a crosswalk the other morning walking to work. My right leg totally gave out on me. These symptoms are scary and no one really knows what is going on. I’m waiting to get into neurology at a bigger hospital. Has anyone experienced symptoms like these? I’ve wondered if it’s a pinched nerve or something relating to a nerve or if it’s something else… Asking for any advice or similar episodes.
