Does anyone ever feel like their anger is literally eating them alive? Lately I’ve just been so SO angry, particularly at work, and it’s just messing with my head… I have a coworker I particularly hate, and he makes me SO angry every time I see him. I am a server at a restaurant, and this guy is a busser and is constantly criticizing my work , and everyone else’s and refuses to help me or clear my tables at all. He’s beyond disrespectful and rude, and anytime I see him I just start shaking sometimes, because my anxiety skyrockets whenever I’m angry. That’s the worst problem for me too, I can’t even hide my own anger like a normal person, even if I’m not yelling, my face will be red and I’ll be shaking and sweating. It’s almost like I obsess over being angry sometimes. I go home after a long day and think over and over about how much I hate that guy, and even go on to remember things that happened in the past that I was angry about and feel angry about that too. I think it comes from trauma I’ve had from sexual assault in the past, but ANY time any person disrespects me, or tries to take advantage of me in some way, or get one over on me, it just enrages me beyond compare! I just CANT take it. And the fact that this guy at work makes me feel so crappy all the time, just makes me so mad I almost just wanna quit. It’s been really hard to deal with lately, even with therapy, and I don’t know how to resolve my anger in my head, or just calm down in general. It’s almost like I feel like an exposed nerve and ANY tiny thing will set me off sometimes.

100 percent of the time you have those feelings. talking to your self or try to calm yourself down, it really isn't gonna work. I understand what it's like working with those types of people. They make you wanna fight I understand your anger with him. First thing you should try to do is speak to a manager about his actions. He is creating a hostile workplace. Do you have any hobbies? Like going for walk while listening to music
