I’m looking to start seeing a Psychologist for cognitive behavior and EMDR therapy. I am very interested in meeting virtually. Can anyone recommend, or steer me away, from any online therapy sites, apps, etc? My Psychiatrist suggested I go through the Psychiatry Today website. They use a thing named ALMA, and can match you with a group of providers that I can choose from. Thanks!

I met a therapist on alma, she was very sweet but I’m a know it all and felt like she was alot like me but she was older and harder to appease the short attention span with her. I used cerebral and loved my experience until they changed stuff up and my insurance only covered the prescribing provider and they cut me off cold of Xanax and Effexor. I had a wonderful experience with the therapist at talkspace but the actual talkspace website sucked in means of communicating etc, my very best experience is with talkiatry. Idk where you’re located, but my first psychiatrist there was also a psychologist and she felt worlds ahead of anyone else I’ve talked to virtually. Most of them are licensed in NY and TX. Then I moved home to Louisiana and couldn’t see her anymore, unless I’m deceptive but I don’t want to start the lying cycle or suggest it lol try Zocdoc they have a great filter option for your insurance and they show you specific types of doctors in your state that take your insurance
