I had a cyst rupture and went to the hospital they gave me morphine for the pain and sent me home. The medication I was given to deal with the pain and it’s not helping so I was told by the gynos office to go back to the E.R. Where I was told they couldn’t do anything else and sent back home. I feel so powerless and in pain, do any of you have any idea what I can do for the pain?

Heating pad on the pelvis, ibuprofen. I know it’s terrible, I’ve had it happen several several times. First one happened at age 11 ( I’m 30 now) or a sits bath, warm water and Epsom salts.

Ask about Bentyl, it’s a type of muscle relaxer that only works on intestinal and reproductive parts so you don’t feel loopy like on other types. Maybe pair it with a rotation of Tylenol or Motrin (whichever works best for you) and as someone mentioned already, a heating pad. I hope you feel better soon, cyst ruptures are horrid!

I just had my first cyst rupture last month and it was a pain I could never imagine. I have never been more terrified and in shock by a pain before and I’ve broken both of my femurs. Honestly for me the heating pad did more than the opioids. I’m sorry though that really sucks!

Were you checked to make sure you’re not having ovarian torsion?

@AK11 no, how can they check that? So I can ask
