To my fellow type one diabetics and others with disabilities, remember that if an employer or school authority prevents you from taking care of your blood sugars you are in your legal rights to state “The ADA (American Disability Act) states that you must give me reasonable accommodations for my disability,” and if they still refuse, let them know that they are breaking the law if they don’t let you take care of it. YOU ARE IN YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS TO WALK OUT OF ANY JOB OR CLASS IF THEY REFUSE TO LET YOU TAKE CARE OF A MEDICAL EMERGENCY!! If they punish you for leaving you can take them to court for discrimination. If you have any questions, please feel free to message me or research the ADA! :)
