Dealing with Extreme Flashbacks from PTSD

Flashbacks are so hard to handle and I’m so sorry you’re struggling thru right now. Let love and compassion in. Sounds cheesy and vague and much easier said than done… If your best friend was having these extreme flashbacks, what would you say to them and what would you do to make them feel safe and comforted and not alone? See if you can pretend like it’s your best friend and talk them thru it and comfort them. Sometimes when that’s hard for me I pretend like I’m talking to a child because my emotions are so heightened that I can’t even connect with logic.
