I was just diagnosed with hyper mobility Ehlers Danlos syndrome. I already have a pain management specialist and go to physical therapy due to chronic pain, long-standing fibromyalgia, and other health and physical issues. Is there anything that you have found that helps manage chronic pain, joint dysfunction, inflammation, and poor mobility? Also, I’m curious how others cope with the impaired mobility and function and not being able to do the things they used to do.

I’ve had hEDS and chronic fatigue for about 5 years. Finding a physical therapist who understood the hyper mobility was key to helping with balance and pain. She helped with ankle pain, core strength, and shoulder pain without pushing my limits and taught her how to do the exercises safely without causing further damage. Still very much working on coping. Have 2 teenaged daughters who I’d like to be able to do a lot more with, but the fatigue and inflammatory pain just make it so hard.
