I just applied for a job to work at one of my state’s welcome centers part-time. From what I’ve heard, very few people come in and I’d be able to stay seated most of the time. I’d recommend looking for WFH jobs, or something that will let you stay seated! Grocery stores and fast food are exactly what you shouldn’t do. Hope this helps!

One person mentioned finding a flexible and remote independent contractor position with a nonprofit, where they can work up to full time when they're well and reduce hours when their head or vision is too bad. However, this position doesn't offer health insurance or paid leave. Another person was able to find a part-time job working only 2 days a week after being on social security disability.
