I don’t post often but here I am twice in one week. I’m really struggling with symptoms. I feel like I have breaks where I am symptomatic but functional and then I have huge flare ups where my symptoms are off the charts, my medication feels like it’s doing nothing, and I can’t see a way out. I haven’t been able to work in two years and just want to have one normal aspect of my life without my body deciding physical activity is too much. I guess I don’t have a question so much as I just need see that I’m not the only one drowning sometimes.

You are definitely not alone. I just had to resign from my job due to my health issues and it’s sent me into a downward spiral. It’s hard. It sucks. But it’s ok to admit those things. You don’t always have to see the bright side. You can let yourself mourn the loss of a “normal” life. It’s all part of the journey. Take the bad with the good as it comes. You’ve got this!
The hardest part of the chronically ill journey is accepted the new person you have become and accept what you cannot do anymore. I've been on disability for almost a year now and at times I feel worthless because I don't contribute much to the house, including housework. But it leaves me more time to go to Dr appts, therapy sessions and recovery days
You’re not alone. I just had to medically withdraw from college lasts week… I tried SO hard but I just couldn’t walk to classes. Stuck in a big flare that’s lasted about 3 weeks now😀 I just want to be comfortable in my body for one moment.
