I have recently changed my lifestyle to relieve symptoms of IBS. I want to find other people that are on the same journey as I am!

I’m always attempting but it can be hard to stick with. My food triggers are gluten, corn (which is in everything), dairy, soy, eggs, tomatoes, apples, bananas, and nuts. It’s exhausting and I could definitely use a friend who can relate and support!

@Floralbanter some of your triggers sound like diverticulitis. I have that as well as IBSz I completely cut out dairy and I attempt to cut out as much high fructose foods as I can. On top of that For my diverticulitis I avoid seeds, some nuts, anything acidic like tomatoes etc.

Doing this for a few years. Power to you. I would get some blood work done periodically to check for vitamin and mineral levels just in case you are not getting enough due to your restricted diet and adding supplements if necessary. I developed other conditions because I was not monitoring the vitamin and mineral levels. I am doing much better now though.

I’ve been on this journey for a long time. I try not to eat anything spicy, greasy and one of my big triggers seems to be tomato sauce or paste based foods. I also don’t eat anything that has raw onions or black pepper in it. I have bad days, weeks for that matters, but until doctors stop thinking this is all in our heads and take us seriously I don’t know what else to do.

@BB55 do you have diverticulitis? Tomato’s and acidic foods are triggers for that as well.
