I have such mixed feelings on having an asd diagnosis a pro: my special needs will be recognised and I will be able to get the help I need, when I need it. I’ll have a valid justification for my behaviour and people will have to suck it up. a con: people start to treat me differently as I start to unmask, as if i’m a different human. and family abandons me for having ‘yet another disability’
