idk if i’m just overthinking this, but i feel like my friends don’t care about me, but i also feel like it’s my fault because when they do rarely text me i feel like i don’t have enough energy to respond. ik this said i have to ask a question but i honestly just wanted to say what’s on my mind right now.

i'm in the exact same situation, i feel like my friends don't care about me but i get too exhausted to talk to them. i think from their perspective they just see someone who doesn't really reach out or respond so they assume you don't want to talk to them, or they're annoying you. you need to be putting in effort you want them to do for you. unfortunately getting over conversations draining you just requires practice, which i know is easier said than done but getting used to it will make it easier over time
I dont think its required to ask a question here. I can totally relate to not having the energy to respond to messages from people or reach out to them. It's really tough. Is there a form of contact besides texting you think could be easier?
