I only just recently found out about misophonia, and went years of my life thinking there was something wrong with me and why I couldn’t stop these anxiety’s or frustrations? (I don’t really know how to describe the feeling). No one knew what it was who was in my close circle , so they constantly thought I was the problem, including my family and myself: my dads tics where the first thing I hyper-fixated on as a kid, then grew and grew as time went on, I ignore my Dad as a way of getting away from it which usually caused him to think I don’t like being around him and when I am I’m angry and frustrated but it’s because of those noises and it has ruined our relationship through the years, and I feel terrible because he’s my Dad and he can’t help it but I also can’t. If anyone has any coping mechanisms, it would be much appreciated as it could help me <3

I know that feeling. I've experienced misophonia since I was a child but only a couple years ago realized that there's a name for it and that I'm not the only one!
